Teambuilding gets a boost at The Wessex Conference Centre

Top Hampshire venue provider, The Wessex Conference Centre, is introducing team building activities as an additional feature to its conferencing operations.
The Wessex Conference Centre, which manages the venues available at Sparsholt College near Winchester, has been a popular location for business events for well over twenty years. "We are constantly looking at ways we can best provide for our clients varying needs," says Sue Reeves, Conference Coordinator at The Wessex Conference Centre. Although the company has run teambuilding events in the past, the activities on offer were limited. "The large number of teambuilding enquiries we received prompted us to consider ways of making more activities available to our clients and we are delighted that we are now able to offer an extended range of teambuilding options"
"Our rural location and excellent transport links makes ours an ideal location for a wide range of events, so it seemed only natural that we develop this area of activity into something that suited our clients requirements," Sue said.
Teambuilding is an ideal way for companies to get their staff to talk to each other and learn how to use each others strengths for the good of the team. It is also an excellent morale booster and a perfect method of honing business skills, such as communication, planning and problem solving outside of the classroom. The Wessex Conference Centre has accommodation available all year round for groups of between 20-25 delegates in their flagship venue Westley Court, if this is required. For larger groups, The Wessex Conference Centre can also arrange accommodation in the College's Halls of Residence during vacation time, which would be ideal for large events that may run over a period of days.
"We believe in being flexible in meeting the requirements of our clients and have chosen to work alongside two professional teambuilding companies to help us to maintain this standard." says Sue, "Both businesses are able to cater for any size of group and can provide team building solutions from ice breakers to events that run over a number of hours or even days, if required. " Both indoor and outdoor activities are available and all activities have been risk assessed and will be carried out under the watchful eye of experienced staff. Both companies are fully insured.
In addition to providing teambuilding activities, The Wessex Conference Centre also offers business clients seminar and conference facilities, as well as meeting rooms, classrooms, a lecture theatre and use of a sports field for their events. All indoor facilities come fully equipped with up-to-date presentation equipment. A catering service is available onsite and there is plenty of free parking.
