Warwick Conferences Bakes 5,000 Cupcakes to Mark Double Celebration

Delegates at Warwick Conferences' training and conference centres have been enjoying a delicious treat this week.
The Coventry-based venue has been taking part in National Cupcake Week to celebrate reaching a series of milestones, not least the 20th birthday of Scarman, the largest of its three training and conference centres.
National Cupcake Week, now in its third year, runs from 12-18 September and is organised by British Baker Magazine to celebrate everyone's favourite bakery product - the cupcake.
Warwick Conferences has been providing handmade and hand-decorated cupcakes in each of their coffee lounge areas since Monday and team estimate that by the end ofFriday, over 5,000 will been devoured by delegates.
The University of Warwick business has a lot to celebrate this year. In addition to winning four M&IT awards, Warwick has been awarded gold in the TUCO Chefs and Food Service challenge, a gold status IACC Green Award and Gold Standard accreditation in the BDRC Continental VenueVerdict in recognition of their outstanding level of satisfaction.
This year has also seen the launch of its ground-breaking Confidence Season seminar programme and the 20th anniversary of its Scarman venue, which has recently just re-opened after a £2 million refurbishment.
