Location and Accessibility

The University of Manchester is easily accessed from the motorway network, Piccadilly rail station is within 250 metres of our Sackville Street venues, and Manchester Airport is up to eight miles away. Directions to our venues, some offering free parking, are available on our website.

Meeting Facilities (facilities for day and residential events)

We offer a wide range of venues to suit all budgets, from city centre to out of town locations, meeting rooms for up to 1000, 4000 bedrooms,major sporting facilities, our ConferCare delegate registration service and a wealth of experience in producing successful events.

University Place accommodates conferences for up to 1000 delegates with 23 seminar rooms, 500 square metres of exhibition space, a 420 seat restaurant and a marquee area.

The Whitworth Building has a series of stylish boardrooms and the magnificent Whitworth Hall for 675 theatre style or dinners for 300.Staff House Conference Centre's suite of meeting rooms for 6 to 90 delegates, close to Piccadilly train station, are available for day meetings year round. A number of our halls also have well-equipped meeting rooms for hire throughout the year.

Chancellors is the University's dedicated Hotel & Conference Centre, set in five acres of landscaped grounds, with a plenary theatre for 125, conference rooms for 20 to 60 and 5 stylish boardrooms, together with 69 bedrooms which are three star AA rated and free parking for 80 cars.
