Venue Essex has four unique meeting centres each offering a wide range of excellent conference, event and accommodation facilities from 6-1,000. Located at the University of Essex campuses in Colchester and Southend, we are easily accessible by major road and rail links.
Meeting Facilities (facilities for day and residential events)
FACILITIES AVAILABLE DURING VACATION PERIODS: On the outskirts of Colchester, the University of Essex has meeting rooms for 15-84 and tiered lecture theatres from 84 -1,000. Residential conferences are accommodated in our 1,000 single en suite bedrooms, available from July to September. Delegates can also choose to stay at our three star hotel: Wivenhoe House.
FACILITIES AVAILABLE EVENINGS & WEEKENDS & YEAR ROUND: Colchester campus offers residential and meeting capacity for up to 1,000 delegates plus Wivenhoe House, our dedicated hotel and conference centre for 6-60 delegates. The Business Hub at our Southend campus provides purpose built meeting facilities suitable for 50. Both campuses offer iLabs - inspiring venues which stimulate innovative thinking.
DEDICATED YEAR ROUND VENUE: Venue Essex - Wivenhoe House & iLabs: Wivenhoe House provides year round meeting rooms for 6-60 delegates with 45 en suite bedrooms and an excellent restaurant available for private hire together with access to other Venue Essex facilities including the iLabs at Colchester and Southend which are modern, vibrant and inspiring venues, designed to stimulate creative team thinking.
