Location and Accessibility

Goldsmiths College is situated in New Cross, South East London, Zone 2 London public transport system - there are frequent trains from London Bridge every 10 minutes. The College is close to the M2 and M25 motorways and is not within the London Congestion Charge Zone

Goldsmiths, just 7 minutes from Central London by train offers a variety of lecture theatres, period boardrooms, classrooms, an orangery and a council chamber all equipped with the latest AV equipment that are available to hire for conferences, meetings, concerts, recitals, exhibitions and filming. 

The Richard Hoggart Building boasts the Great Hall, which can seat up to 500 delegates with five 100 seater lecture theatres, a multitude of breakaway classrooms and a Refectory.

The New Academic Building has a 250 and a 120 seater lecture theatre, both of which lead into the Weston Atrium, a space bathed in natural light, lending itself perfectly to refreshment and lunch breaks as well as exhibitions. These facilities are complemented by numerous breakaway rooms which range in capacity from 8 to 60 delegates.

The Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre can accommodate 290 delegates and the Ben Pimlott Lecture Theatre 80 delegates, each with superb foyer areas.

The Deptford Town Hall Council Chamber is a fantastic venue for concerts and recitals and can seat up to 200 delegates.

From late June to mid September there are 580 en suite bedrooms and 165 shared bathroom bedrooms available. This makes Goldsmiths an ideal venue for summer schools, residential conferences, group and individual accommodation lets.
