Location and Accessibility
The University of Strathclyde is situated in the centre of Glasgow on a self contained, attractively landscaped campus just five minutes walk from the city's rail and bus stations, shops, restaurants and visitor attractions. It is adjacent to the motorway network and within easy reach of Glasgow Airport.
Meeting Facilities (facilities for day and residential events)
The city centre Campus provides a flexible and compact venue for conferences and meetings with a wide range of lecture theatres and break out rooms. The largest lecture theatre seats 450 and is adjacent to two smaller lecture theatres and 2/3 break out rooms with flexible space for catering and registration. Other areas of equally flexible space are available together with the Barony, a spectacular ceremonial Hall on the same site, ideal for conference dinners and functions.
600 bedrooms are available in the Campus Village from June to September, including 300 with en suite facilities. These are built round the Lord Todd restaurant and bar, and are adjacent to the meeting facilities. Excellent and flexible catering is available throughout the Campus and there is a professional support team with on site AV and IT specialists.
It is an ideal location for residential meetings during the summer and non residential facilities are available at other times of the year. Ross Priory, the University's property on the shore of Loch Lomond, with its nine hole golf course and stunning views of the surrounding mountains is an outstanding venue for smaller meetings.
